- Akpu Egwu
Akpu Egwu is a shrine and tradition practiced by Umu Akuma community of Okposi in Oha-ozara Local Government of Ebonyi State. Here people sacrifice things like fowl, wine, etc.
After giving out a woman (from umu Akuma) in marriage, at the right period she is made to partake in Akpu Egwu with people within her age bracket to show that she is no longer from her paternal community, but from another, since she is now someone's wife.
- Nguvie
Nguvie tradition of the people of umu Akuma. They use it in place of the calendar month, for dictating maturity in ladies/girls so as to be circumcised and to dictate the period for new yam festival. It is done set by set (according to age grade).
On the day of Nguvie festival, people dance and celebrate their circumcision.
Every mature lady must do it at her due season/time and afterwards, becomes legible for marriage.
- Egbu Akwanju
Egwu Akwanju is a forest located at Amelu Agu community of Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. It is a dangerous zone, as dead bodies are thrown there and it is a special center where arm robbers operate. It is so dangerous that from 4pm down, an individual dare not follow that path, but crowd so as not to be brutally murdered.
The location is close to different communities like mebi-owa, umu Akuma, mebi-okpa and thus. It is given that name because, if anything happens to anybody, nobody can actually trace the source, when or how it happened; thus the name Egbu Akwanju.
- Omega Me Onwe
Omega Me Onwe is a shrine located at mebi-owa okposi (njoku oha precisely) in Oha-ozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The man in charge was known to be a drunk, and whatsoever he commands surely comes to pass.
People might wonder why the name of the shrine is Omega Me Onwe. The reason is that the man in charge drinks himself to a point of no sense; and as a drunk, he does not only harm others, but can hurt/harm himself since he might not be at his right senses and stands to regret his actions at the end. That's why people mock him as omega me Onwe.
He's not a respecter of persons or relationship as he hurts both friends and foes and himself.
